Hammers, compasses and specimens are masters of disguise. If you find yourself leaving them at outcrops as often as we do, you'll want to make them stand out with this weatherproof, high-visibility, fluorescent tape. This range is the most durable, professional quality gaffer tape, in a convenient 12 mm width. When applied carefully to a clean surface, it will remain tightly stuck even if immersed in water!

Smaller and less robust than our solid forged trowel, this tool is nevertheless a handy item for clearing away overlying sediment from the rocks you are really interested in.

Any geologist who has spend time in the British moorlands will no doubt have spend some time frustrated by an overlying carpet of boggy sphagnum; with a trowel to hand, this can be cleared away in seconds, and the bedrock brought to bear, ready for a hammering.

Get a better view with this magnifying hand lens. The 5× magnification enlarges your specimen, allowing you to see finer detail and make more accurate observation of the finer points of the rock. Essential for field-work.
